From 5th to 7th August the 20th International Berlin Beer Festival is taking place at its traditional area along Karl-Marx-Allee between Strausberger Platz and Frankfurter Tor.
About 800,000 visitors from all over the world will meet right in the centre of Berlin at the „World´s Longest Beer Garden“ (GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM).
On 2.2 km visitors will be enthusiastic about finding 340 breweries from 87 countries offering 2,400 unique beer specialities, and 22 beer regions presenting their culinary specialities.On 20 stages national and international bands will play live music. And all this is admission free. Each year a different country , a special region or theme is at the centre of attention.For example, it was the Czech Republic in 2008, Belgium in 2009, Vietnam in 2010. In 2011, on the occasion of the 15th International Berlin Beer Festival, a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM was set up. In 2012 beers of the Baltic region, in 2013 Poland, in 2014 craft-brewed beer specialities and 2015 Experience the Bier- und Burgenstraße were in the focus of attention.
