Internationales Berliner Bierfestival

The 11th International Berlin Beer Fetival in the Centre of the City

from August 3rd to 5th 2007

„Northern Lights“ characterize the 11th International Berlin Beer Festival taking place in the centre of the capital from August 3rd to 5th because this year´s festival beers are coming from Germany´s northern region. The three exquisite variants of this year are: The Festival Pils of the Flensburg Brewery Emil Petersen, the Störtebecker Dark of the Stralsund Brewery , and the Summer – Porter of the Vielanker Brewery. You can especially be looking forward to this high point in August as the special fascination of this troika is lying in its seeming contrast.

On the occasion of the festival´s anniversary in 2006 a new record number of 700.000 visitors came to the beer – mile. For 2007 we are expecting 250 breweries from 86 countries to take part in the beer exhibition, which has a length of 2.2 km covering the area from Strausberger Platz to Frankfurter Tor. The breweries are presenting more than 1780 specialities of beer.

Of course, there will also be live music on 18 stages this year again as well as culinary delicacies from 20 beer regions.

The PRAESENTA Ltd. is the promoter of the Berlin Beer Festival. Its ideational (non-material) holder ist he „Private Brauereien Deutschland e.V.“ – ist close partner being the district office of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg with its patron district mayor Dr. Franz Schulz.
